The Miyabi 4000 FC 9cm Kudamono is a Shotoh with a blade length of 90 mm. This Shotoh features a FRIODUR blade made from high-quality FC61 steel.
The blade has been ice-hardened twice for durability and can be sharpened to an edge that will hold up well against wear and tear. It also has a Katana-edge cut, which means the blade has been ground on both sides to produce an edge with a characteristic curve along the length of the blade.
The Miyabi 4000 FC 9cm Kudamono is finished in octagonal Pakka wood and includes an engraved MIYABI logo on the handle as well as a mosaic pin. This knife is made from one layer of steel and manufactured in Seki, Japan.
This knife would make the perfect gift for someone who loves to cook - or even just a treat to yourself if your current knives are starting to look a bit worn and you'd like to get some professional quality knives that you know will last.
To ensure the knife stays in the best shape possible, it should be sharpened regularly, and should be cleaned only with warm water and a light detergent before being left to fully dry in between each use.
It shouldn't be used in the dishwasher, submerged in water, or cleaned with a hard or rough sponge that could cause damage to the blade.
